When I was in high school I discovered Nitro Circus, and ever since then, it has been a goal of mine to photograph one of their live shows.
In 2019, I went to the 8th Annual AZ Balloon Classic. At the very end of the second night, they had some stunt BMX riders perform in a tiny area off to the side. It was one of the coolest things I had ever seen, but it was way too dark and poorly set up to be properly photographed.
In 2020, I went to the 9th Annual AZ Balloon Classic hoping to not only take some great hot air balloon photos again but to also take some photos of the BMX stunt show with my newer camera. This year, they had the Superhero Stunt Team set-up right in the middle of the lot, and they had them start their performance when the sun was still out. I was so excited and got there early so that I would have a front-row shot at getting great pictures for the riders.
It was so much fun photographing their stunt show, I truly had a blast. The riders in the Superhero Stunt Team are extremely talented, and I highly recommend seeing them if you have a chance.
